Kenyan documents and where each one starts
KCSE and KCPE certificates.
Ask the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) whether the certificate needs its confirmation before the foreign ministry.
Diplomas and degrees.
The university or college confirms the award. For some private or foreign linked institutions, ask whether recognition by the Commission for University Education will be needed.
Birth certificates.
Issued by Civil Registration Services. For a child’s residence visa, use a certificate that names both parents.
Marriage certificates.
Issued by the Registrar of Marriages. A customary or religious marriage that was never registered may need registering first.
Certificate of good conduct.
Issued by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI). See police clearance attestation.
About “Dubai attestation fees in Kenya”
Many people ask what the Dubai embassy attestation fee in Kenya is. There are really three separate charges on the Kenyan side: the issuing body’s verification (if any), Kenya’s foreign ministry authentication, and the UAE embassy in Nairobi’s fee. Each office sets its own, and they change, so we check them when we plan your file and pass them on at cost.

The UAE embassy in Nairobi
After the foreign ministry’s authentication, the UAE embassy in Nairobi stamps the document. This cannot be done at the Kenyan mission in the UAE. If a relative will hand the document in for you, ask the embassy first whether it accepts a representative, and we notarise an authority letter for them.

Only if the employer asks. Many employers ask for the highest qualification only, so check before you start.
My certificate of good conduct is a few months old. Will it do?
Maybe not. Offices often want a recent one. Ask the receiving office its limit before you attest.
