Legal translation for notarisation in Dubai
Legal translation for notarisation in Dubai is the Arabic translation that lets a notary public notarise your document. Notarised instruments in the UAE are usually in Arabic, and many are written in Arabic and English side by side. For official use, the translation is signed by a legal translator registered with the Ministry of Justice.
We have in-house, in person notary public services, online notary public services and home visit notary services. We prepare the legal translation, then notarise it together with your power of attorney, affidavit or contract, at our office, by video or at your home.
The key question is always the same: what does the office that will receive the document want? We ask before any translation is paid for.

Step by step
How it works, step by step

01
Send us the document
and tell us which office will receive it.
02
We check names against the passports.
The Arabic spelling must match every other paper in the file.
03
A registered legal translator translates it, including stamps and handwritten notes.
04
You read and approve the draft.
Changes are cheap now and costly after the seal.
05
The notary public notarises the translation with the document, in person, online or at your home.
06
MOFA and the embassy, if it is going abroad.
Side by side
Three situations, three different orders
| Situation | When to translate | What the translation needs |
|---|---|---|
| A POA, affidavit or contract signed in the UAE | Before the notary | A bilingual document, or an Arabic translation notarised with the instrument |
| A foreign certificate in a language MOFA cannot read | Before MOFA | A legally certified translation that travels with the original |
| A foreign document in English, for a UAE court or ministry that works in Arabic | After MOFA, in the UAE | A legal translation by a translator registered with the Ministry of Justice |
Translations for use abroad
A UAE document going abroad may need to be in the destination country’s language. Depending on the country, the translation may need MOFA attestation and then the embassy’s legalisation in the UAE, or the country may prefer to translate on arrival with its own sworn translator. Ask first. See legalising UAE documents for use abroad.
Watch for
Common translation problems
- Names spelled differently from the passport. Give us the passport spelling.
- Stamps and handwritten notes left untranslated. Everything on the page should be translated.
- A translation of a copy when the office wants the translation joined to the original.
- A translation ordered last, after the rest of the file is ready.
