Notary public at Abu Dhabi Marina Mall: check before you go

Many people search for a notary public in Abu Dhabi at Marina Mall because the mall comes up in older listings and map pins as a place for notary and attestation services. Before you drive there, check with the authority that runs the centre: which services it offers today, its current timings, and whether you need an appointment. Government service points move and change what they handle, so an old post or map pin is not enough.

Archive shelves filled with document boxes and binders

If you would rather not make the trip, Dubai Notary Services is the other option. We have in-house, in person notary public services, online notary public services and home visit notary services. Your power of attorney, affidavit or declaration can be notarised online by video or at your home or office in Abu Dhabi.

Office open Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. WhatsApp and online requests answered 24/7.

At a glance

  • Check the centre’s current services and timings with the authority before you go. We do not publish hours for any government office.
  • In Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) provides notary public services under its own fee guide.
  • MOFA attestation is a separate step from notarisation. MOFA takes applications through its website and the UAE MOFA app, and its FAQ says its Customer Happiness Centres are closed. Source: MOFA FAQ.
  • Our online notary works through the UAE remote notarisation channels such as the Ministry of Justice e-Notary system and UAE PASS.
  • Our home visits cover homes, offices, hospitals and care homes in Abu Dhabi. The charge is quoted when you book.

Notary or attestation: which do you need?

People looking for a notary at Marina Mall sometimes need attestation, and the other way round. They are different acts.

  • A notary public checks your identity, watches you sign and applies the seal. This is what a power of attorney, affidavit, declaration, NOC or certified true copy needs.
  • MOFA attestation confirms a seal or signature that is already on a document, such as a notary’s seal or a foreign ministry stamp. MOFA charges AED 150 for a personal document and AED 2,000 for a commercial one.

If your document has not been signed yet, you need the notary first. If it is going abroad, MOFA comes after the notary, then the destination country’s embassy or consulate in the UAE. More on this is on public notary services and notary and MOFA attestation.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is there a notary public at Abu Dhabi Marina Mall?

Check with the authority that runs the centre before you go. Services and timings at government service points change, and we do not publish them. If you would rather not check and drive, we notarise online or at your home.

What are the Marina Mall notary timings?

We do not publish hours for government offices because they change. Check the authority’s own website, app or phone line on the day. Our own hours: Office open Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. WhatsApp and online requests answered 24/7.

Can I get MOFA attestation at Marina Mall?

MOFA’s FAQ says its Customer Happiness Centres are closed and that attestation applications go through its website and the UAE MOFA app. See MOFA attestation online for how that works.

Can you notarise my document without me going anywhere?

Often, yes. We notarise online by video through UAE PASS where the document allows it, or we come to your home, office, hospital or care home in Abu Dhabi. We tell you first which way suits your document.

Send your document and know every step before you pay

Share a photo of both sides on WhatsApp and tell us where it will be used. We reply with the stamps it needs, the order they go in and the price for each one.
