Bangladesh certificate attestation in Dubai
Bangladesh certificate attestation in Dubai is a two country job. In Bangladesh, the document is first verified by the office that stands behind it (an education board, the Ministry of Education, or the civil registration office), then attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka, then stamped by the UAE embassy in Dhaka. In the UAE, MOFA adds the final attestation. We do the UAE part and set out the Bangladesh part for you step by step.

MOFA in the UAE
The document people most often bring us is an academic certificate for a job or a child’s school, followed by a nikahnama or birth certificate for a family visa. Each starts at a different office in Dhaka.

Step by step
Academic certificates: the order that works

Board or university.
SSC and HSC certificates are verified by the education board that issued them. Degrees are verified by the university.

Attests the verified certificate.

Nikahnama, birth and other family papers
A nikahnama is often handwritten in Bengali. For a UAE family visa it usually needs an English translation that is itself attested, or a translation MOFA accepts. A marriage registered with the local registrar produces the document the foreign ministry expects.
For birth certificates, the online birth registration certificate with an English version is the usual starting point. Check that the parents’ names match their passports letter by letter; a mismatch is the most common reason a child’s visa file is questioned.

Commercial documents
Exporters in Bangladesh sending goods to UAE buyers often need invoices and certificates of origin attested. These start with a chamber of commerce in Bangladesh, go through the foreign ministry and the UAE embassy, then MOFA attests them as commercial documents. See commercial invoice attestation.
Working from the UAE
If you are in the UAE, a family member in Bangladesh can usually take the documents through the Dhaka offices with an authority letter. The Bangladesh mission in the UAE serves its citizens here but does not add the UAE embassy stamp.

Frequently asked questions
Does my SSC certificate need the Ministry of Education before the foreign ministry?
In most cases yes. The foreign ministry in Dhaka attests the Ministry of Education’s signature, not the board’s directly.
Can Bangladesh certificate attestation in Dubai be done without anyone travelling to Dhaka?
Someone must hand the document in at the Dhaka offices. It does not have to be you. A family member with your authority letter is the usual choice.
My nikahnama is in Bengali. What should I do?
Get a certified English translation that the offices will attest with it, or plan a legal translation in the UAE. Ask the UAE visa office which it accepts.
Is there a separate process for certificates issued before digital records?
Older certificates may need extra verification from the board or university. Send us a photo and we will tell you what to expect.
