Russian certificate attestation in Dubai and notary services for Russians
Russians living in the UAE usually need a notary for two reasons. Something must be done at home without flying back, such as selling a flat, dealing with a bank or collecting documents, and a power of attorney signed here gives someone the right to do it. Or an office wants a sworn declaration, a notarised copy of a passport, or a consent for a child. Our in-house notary public services handle all of these in person, online by video or at your home.

Checklist
Sending a notarised document to Russia
- You sign before our notary in person, by video through UAE remote notarisation channels such as the Ministry of Justice e-Notary system and UAE PASS, or at home. We tell you if your document can be done online.
- MOFA attests the notarised document. A general power of attorney is on MOFA’s commercial list.
- The Russian embassy or consulate in the UAE legalises it, where the Russian office asks for that.
- You courier it to Russia or hand it to the person who will use it.

Russian certificate attestation in Dubai: the route in brief
Russian files have one layer that surprises people: most of the work is often done on a notarised copy with a translation, not on the original. A notary in Russia certifies the copy and the translator’s signature, and the two are often bound together as one document. That bundle is then legalised by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stamped by the UAE embassy in Moscow, and attested by MOFA in the UAE.
Offices and names in Russia can change, so we check the steps for your document before you start. Keep the bundle together and do not remove staples or seals.

Translation and transliterated names
You have two workable choices. The first is a translation into English made in Russia and certified by a Russian notary, which then goes through every stamp with the copy. The second is to legalise the Russian document on its own and translate it into Arabic in the UAE after MOFA, using a legal translator. The first saves time in Dubai; the second gives you an Arabic version that UAE government offices read without question. See legal translation.
Transliterated names are the other risk. Your name in Latin letters on the translation must match your passport exactly, so give the translator a passport copy.

Frequently asked questions
Can I give someone in Russia power of attorney from Dubai?
Yes. You sign it before our notary in the UAE, in person, online or at home. MOFA then attests it and the Russian embassy or consulate in the UAE legalises it where required.
I already have an apostille on my Russian diploma. Is that enough?
No. The UAE is not a party to the Apostille Convention. The diploma needs Russian legalisation, the UAE embassy stamp in Moscow, and MOFA.
Can I attest my Russian diploma at the Russian consulate in Dubai?
No. The consulate serves Russian citizens and documents going to Russia. A diploma for UAE use has to go through the Russian ministries and the UAE embassy in Moscow first.
Which copy does MOFA stamp, the original or the notarised copy?
It depends on how the Russian side legalised the document. Often it is the notarised copy with the translation attached, so keep the bundle together.
