Our private notary services in Dubai give you a notary appointment that fits your day, with your documents handled in confidence. We have in-house, in person notary public services, online notary public services and home visit notary services. You can sign with us in Dubai, by video, or at your home or office.

At a glance

- Private appointments in person with us in Dubai, online by video, or at your home, office, hospital or care home in the UAE.
- Your documents are seen only by the people who need to see them to prepare and notarise them.
- Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013 governs notaries public in Dubai, including private notaries entered on the Dubai Courts roll of notaries.
- Dubai private notary fees under the Dubai Courts decision: AED 100 per party for registration, AED 100 per signature, and AED 1,000 for each trip outside the place of work.
- Office open Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. WhatsApp and online requests answered 24/7.

A private appointment suits people who want to sign without a queue, families with a sensitive document such as a will or a consent letter, and companies that need several directors to sign in one sitting. We prepare the document first, so the time with the notary is short and nothing is missed.

## What a private notary can notarise

A private notary carries out notarial acts on documents you sign or copy in the UAE. These are the documents people most often bring to a private appointment.

| Document | What the notary does | More detail |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Power of attorney | Witnesses your signature and notarises the POA | [Power of attorney notarisation](https://dubainotaryservices.com/get-poa-notarized/) |
| Affidavit or declaration (single status, same name, residence) | Takes your declaration and notarises it | [Affidavits](https://dubainotaryservices.com/affidavit-before-notary-dubai/) |
| Copy of a passport, degree or licence | Certifies it as a true copy of the original | [Certified true copies](https://dubainotaryservices.com/certified-true-copy-attestation-in-dubai/) |
| Company resolution or letter | Witnesses the signatures of the directors | [Company documents](https://dubainotaryservices.com/company-document-legalization-dubai/) |
| Consent letter for a child's travel | Witnesses the parent's signature | [Child travel consent](https://dubainotaryservices.com/child-travel-consent-for-uae-essential-guide/) |
| Letter, contract or form | Witnesses your signature | [Signature attestation](https://dubainotaryservices.com/witnessing-of-signature-in-dubai/) |

A certificate issued abroad, such as a foreign degree or birth certificate, does not need a Dubai notary. It follows its home country chain. See [certificate attestation](https://dubainotaryservices.com/certificate-attestation-dubai/).

## Why people choose a private appointment

### A time that suits you.

You book a slot during office hours that fits your day.

### Confidential handling.

Wills, family consents and company papers are prepared and discussed in private.

### Everyone in one sitting.

Directors, parents or several heirs can sign together.

### The document is ready.

We draft or check it before the day, so the appointment is about signing, not rewriting.

### At your place if needed.

The notary can come to your home, office, hospital or care home. See [home visit notary](https://dubainotaryservices.com/home-visit-notary-dubai/).

## How a private appointment works

### Send us the details.

Tell us what the document is for, who signs, and who will receive it. Photos of your passport and any existing draft help.

### We prepare the document.

We draft or check it, match names to passports, and add an Arabic translation where the notary needs one. See [legal translation](https://dubainotaryservices.com/legal-translation-in-uae/).

### Choose where to sign.

With us in Dubai, online by video through the UAE remote channels, or at your home or office.

### Sign before the notary.

The notary checks your original ID, confirms you understand the document, watches you sign and applies the seal.

### Take it forward.

If the document will be used abroad, it goes to MOFA and then the destination embassy. See [notary and MOFA attestation](https://dubainotaryservices.com/mofa-attestation-dubai/).

## What the seal means for a document going abroad

MOFA attests the notary's seal and signature, not the content of your document. So the notary step must be right: the correct wording, names that match passports, and a language the receiver accepts. A mistake at this stage travels all the way to the embassy. That is why we check every document before the appointment.

The UAE is not a party to the Apostille Convention, so there is no apostille. A notarised document for use abroad is attested by MOFA, then by the destination country's embassy or consulate in the UAE.

## Private notary or Dubai Courts notary?

Both can notarise. The Dubai Courts notary public works from Dubai Courts service centres and channels on the official schedule. A private notary charges the official fee plus the private notary fee set by the Dubai decision, and can visit you. For how notarisation works in general, see our [public notary services](https://dubainotaryservices.com/public-notary-services/) page. For the fees on each route, see the [notary fees guide](https://dubainotaryservices.com/dubai-notary-public-fees/).

## Frequently asked questions

### What are private notary services in Dubai?

They are notary appointments booked at a time that suits you, in person, online or at your home or office. The notary verifies your ID, witnesses your signature or certifies a copy, and applies the seal. We prepare the document before the appointment.

### Is my document kept confidential?

Yes. Your document is seen only by the people who need to see it to prepare and notarise it. Sensitive papers such as wills and family consents are discussed in private.

### Can the private notary come to my home or office?

Yes. We come to your home, office, hospital or care home in the UAE. The Dubai private notary fee for a trip outside the place of work is AED 1,000, and our own charge is quoted when you book.

### Can I sign privately without coming in?

Often, yes. Some documents can be signed online by video through the UAE remote channels. We tell you if your document can be done online. See [online notary](https://dubainotaryservices.com/e-notary-in-dubai/).

### Do I need a private notary for a foreign degree?

No. A foreign degree follows its home country chain and the UAE embassy there, then MOFA. A Dubai notary is only needed for a document signed or copied here.

### I have a deadline. Can the appointment be faster?

Tell us the date when you first contact us. Our [fast track notary services](https://dubainotaryservices.com/express-attestation-everything-you-need-to-know/) put your file first, but we confirm timing only after we see the document.

### Send us your document

Send a photo of your document and the name of the office that asked for it. We reply with the route and a written quote.
